Abstract


The stream-wise fluidelastic instability of tube arrays has recently been in the lime light due to the practical problem of an event in a steam generator in 2012. My recent studies it has been revealed that the stream-wise fluidelastic instability is easily susceptable in rotated triangular arrays, and the number of adjacent flexible cylinders plays an important role. The effect of the pitch to diameter ratio also plays an important role. This paper introduces the experimental study on the effect of the index on the stream-wise fluidelastic in stability of rotated triangular arrays, which is usually adapted in the design of practicaal steam generators.
